Hello again!

I'm Dhessimae, a recent graduate from the University of Washington-Seattle with a degree in Human-Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE).

During my time at university, I designed for many projects including a website for a non-profit organization and features for a student-run community app. These experiences shaped a multi-discplinary skillset as I stepped into roles as a designer, researcher, and project manager. I approached each design by translating complex problems into thoughtful, functional solutions that is simple and effective by understanding the user and their needs.

My journey

2019 - 2023
Everett Community College

2023 - 2025
University of Washington-Seattle

I attended EvCC as a Running Start program student to complete my high school diploma and additional engineering-focusing courses. I entered the world of design when I took a UI/UX course with David Karlins, a well-known figure in the industry, which began my passion for user-centered solutions.
I transferred to the University of Washington at the Seattle campus as a Human-Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) major. While taking related courses, I took part in clubs such as Web Impact, Eat Together, and Husky Coding Project, expanding my skillset and knowledge on the design process and its tools.

My free time

Outside of work, you'll find me exploring new foods, especially at food festivals, or I'd be on a mountain somewhere in the great PNW! I also am a pro SUPER-CASUAL tennis player (1/5 chance I am hitting the ball out-of-bounds...)
